Q: Is Ultra Analog compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)?
A: Yes. Note however that users who installed Ultra Anlalog VA-1 v1.0.1 for the first time on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) from a box version need to download the Post Install Fix. And, Users who re-installed Ultra Analog VA-1 v1.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) from an installer downloaded before May 17, 2005 need to download the Post Install Fix too.
*Note that if Ultra Analog is already installed on your system and that you are simply upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), you don't need to download the Post Install Fix.
Q: Is Ultra Analog a recreation of a classic analog synthesizer like the Minimoog?
A: No. However, Ultra Analog's flexible patch permits configuration similar to the classic Moogs, Arps, Yamaha CS series, Sequential Circuits, etc. The sound of those classics can be achieved easily with Ultra Analog.
Q: I get artefacts when loading a preset while playing, is this normal?
A: No. Please download the latest Ultra Analog update from the Downloads page.
Q: After installing Ultra Analog, Pro Tools won't start, what's wrong?
A: Pro Tools won't start if both the demo and full version are installed. Uninstalling the demo version will enable Pro Tools to start normally. To uninstall the demo version run the following script: [System Drive]: Library: Application Support: Applied Acoustics Systems: Uninstall Ultra Analog Demo.
Q: The demo version of Ultra Analog crashes Digital Performer, what's wrong?
A: The current 20 minutes time limit of the demo version causes problems with the audio engine of Digital Performer. We are currently looking for a solution.
Q: Does Ultra Analog pass the Audio Units validation test in Logic 7?
A: Yes. Please download the latest Ultra Analog update from the Downloads page.
Q: Is Ultra Analog's patch available in Tassman 4?
A: No. As for Lounge Lizard, Tassman was used to design the prototype. However, improvements, CPU optimization as well as a new interface was created to make a dedicated analog synthesizer patch.
Q: What type of copy protection Ultra Analog uses?
A: Ultra Analog uses AAS' proprietary copy protection based on a challenge/response mechanism.
Q: How many times can I authorize Ultra Analog?
A: You can authorize Ultra Analog three times. We can provide more install keys if you contact us with appropriate details of the situation.
Q: Ultra Analog is not present in my VST host sequencer, what can I do?
A: You can copy the file 'UltraAnalogVst.dll' located in C:\Program Files\AAS\Ultra Analog 1.0\Bin in your host sequencer VST folder.
