Kaskade and ILIO Release Exclusive Remix Featuring drum tracks programmed using Stylus RMX and Ethno Techno S.A.G.E. Xpander
Malibu, Ca, August 31, 2006 — As if your summer wasn't hot enough, Kaskade and ILIO turn up the heat with this exclusive remix, featuring drums from ILIO's Ethno Techno S.A.G.E. Xpander, ILIO's Bonus Section and the Stylus RMX™ core library. Heading off the beaten path that has put Kaskade on the map as a prominent House producer, this remix is an epic twist to the ambient track: "Soft Upon The Lips" from Kaskade's "The Calm" album. Midihead's Production Notes This track opens up with the Ethno Techno S.A.G.E. Xpander. The sounds are processed using the built-in effects from Stylus RMX™, including the delay on the pulsing, big drum (Nanobots Dun Dun). Chaos Designer's Buzz and Random Pattern effect were used on the Nanobots Pot (the "clangy" sound) as well as some delay to provide more motion. In parts of the track, the Sensi Bells are run through the Chaos Designer's Reverse effect ever so slightly, making for some nice ear candy. The body of the track was filled in with drums and percussion from the core library, as well as the bonus section from the ILIO Xpanders.
The Ethno Techno S.A.G.E. Xpander was performed by famed percussionist Bashiri Johnson, and produced by Eric Persing.
