Groove Control™ is the exclusive, revolutionary method of groove development from Spectrasonics and ILIO that allows real-time. independent control over the tempo, feel, pitch, and mix of grooves from selected titles. It’s also a key component of Spectrasonics’ Stylus RMX virtual groove module, and the RMX SAGE Xpanders from Spectrasonics and ILIO.
Like other groove manipulation methods, Groove Control allows the user to adjust groove tempos, so they’re in lock-step with the host sequencer. But Groove Control goes far beyond mere tempo shifting. It gives you access to the Pitch, Feel, Sound, and in many cases the Mix of the groove too.
The really great thing about Groove Control is its “performance guarantee”. Groove Control grooves are guaranteed to sound as good as the original groove with zero artifacts over an insanely broad range of tempos, using a “recycle-style” combination of slices and sequences. There is no tweaking necessary because each groove in a Groove Control activated title has been pre-processed, down to the slice. All you have to do is load up the groove and play! To achieve the same level of quality from a Rex™, Live™, or Acid™ file, you could spend hours editing each groove to sound as good as the original.
