In this video, LifeStyleDidIt sits down with ILIO’s MIDIhead to talk about Sines, their new Mini Pack for Spectrasonics Omnisphere, and the unexpected journey that led him from drumming in a garage and recording with a USB Rock Band mic, to designing presets used by thousands.

Sines includes 44 patches and 7 Multis built with sine wave-based tones and custom samples, all crafted to sit perfectly in a mix without crowding the vocals. LifeStyleDidIt shares how he makes sounds while referencing real tracks, how his packs are named like R&B song titles (yes, there’s one called “Left on Read”), and why building space into a preset is as important as making it shine.

The two also play through a selection of patches live and dive into how modulation, subtle distortion, and filtering make Sines versatile enough for modern R&B, lo-fi, and even retro-inspired beats.
