Choirs have always been an archetypal and powerful means of adding human vibrancy, soul and glory to any piece of music, and these choirs from Vienna's Big Bang Orchestra do exactly that.

Drawing from their manifold experiences of singing for major movie and game productions, the Synchron Stage Choir delivers emotional performances and a clear style with reduced vibrato that is widely used in modern scores.

Tutti and SATB

BBO: Ganymede includes the classic individual sections of soprano, alto, tenor and bass as well as several tutti patches. Offering several variations of tutti mappings proves helpful for creating quick arrangements that sound great without the need for detailed orchestrating.

• "Tutti Choir" combines all sections into one powerful patch, all layered on top of each other.
• "Male/Female" places the male ensembles in the lower octaves and the female ensembles in the higher octaves of the keyboard.
• "Choir Stacked" blends the sections from the lowest to the highest register, keeping the natural ranges intact.
• "Tutti Effects" includes major and minor chords, clusters, cluster glissandos, cluster builds and shouts. The clusters correspond to the Clusters A and B in Big Bang Orchestra: Black Eye, performed by strings, brass and woodwinds, so it's easy to create cohesive and stunning performances by the orchestra, elevated by a massive choir.

Articulations include staccato, sustain, espressivo, true legato, sforzato and several swells.

Mixer Presets

As with all the other installments of the Big Bang Orchestra, the ensembles were captured with an array of microphones to give you more flexibility and sound options using the Synchron Player's internal mixer. Nevertheless, getting the right placement and reverberation is as easy as clicking on a preset name. BBO: Ganymede offers several room mixes (mix-downs from various mic positions to a stereo signal), Decca Tree, surround to stereo and real surround presets for immersive audio applications. In the "Processed" category you'll find mixer presets such as Cathedral, Soft Canon, Compressed, Bass to the Middle, and many more. Being recorded in the same large hall of Synchron Stage Vienna, the Choirs of Big Bang Orchestra: Ganymede perfectly complement the majestic sound of all the other libraries of the series.

It's easy to create the perfect mix for your arrangement with your Big Bang Orchestra mixer presets. These are the same presets that come with all the other installments of the series to guarantee a consistent sound. We provide 6 levels of reverberation and additional processed presets with each of our microphone setups: Close, Classic, Wide, Distant,  Ambien, Wet.

Mixer Overview

Our factory mixer presets are based on the room microphones, leaving the section microphones disabled.
Section microphones (further to the right in the mixer) can be added to emphasize the power of certain sections.
Activate additional channels by clicking on the channel name. This will load the samples required for playback, and the faders have been set to good starting points to customize your mix.

Change the level, panning, delay and channel EQ settings for each channel, and of course you are free to insert any of the built-in FX plug-ins to further optimize your sound.

Room Mix Presets
The most resource-friendly presets: Based on a room mix we created from all available room microphones, you will get an impressive sound that will help you to manifest your orchestral ideas on every device.

Stereo Decca Tree Presets
The "Decca tree" is the microphone tree that is the heart and soul of every orchestral recording. It consists of a main stereo channel and a mono center channel and captures the details of the room from the conductor’s perspective.

Surround to Stereo Presets
Enjoy the massive sound of all available room microphones, including the decca tree mics, down-mixed to a stereo signal. You will get a great impression of the huge sound our Synchron Stage Vienna is known for.

Surround Presets
If you insert your Synchron Player as a surround plug-in in your sequencer, these presets will provide the starting point for your surround setup.

Processed Presets
These presets make use of compressors, power panning, delays, additional reverb, phasers and more audio effects. Feel free to add more FX as you create your desired sound.
