ChopTones Brit J800 1982 H100 - Supercab IR Library

Brit J800 1982 4x12 H100 is the Choptones Supercab IR Library created by capturing a Marshall* 1982 JCM800 4x12 with Celestion* G12H-100 speakers. The cabinet is a slanted front, closed back, solid Birch plywood construction. It is a powerful choice for the 80's Rock and Metal guitarists. The speaker is powerful and fat sounding, maybe the "father" of modern high-gain dedicated guitar speakers. Great at very loud levels!

Captures for this SuperCabinet library were performed with a motorized mic stand in order to have consistent measurements across libraries. The library has an extensive and systematic capture created with 12 microphones, 8 to 16 positions for each microphone, and multiple Mic preamps, for more than 300 IRs globally.

Every microphone was moved to four different horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone and Cone Edge) and two distances for a total of eight IRs each.

For some microphones, the set of 8 measurements has been repeated with the microphone off-axis (45 deg). All the measurement sets have been repeated twice, with two different Mic preamps: a Neve* 1073 and a German preamp.

All IRs have been phase aligned and they can be blended without phase cancellations.
