Stream Pro - Delta Sound Labs

Stream Pro by Delta Sound Labs is a granular synthesis plugin for composers, producers, and sound designers who want to turn their own audio into playable instruments and evolving textures. Shape pads and atmospheres in Single Mode, or perform your samples across the keyboard in Multi Mode, with polyphonic MIDI control, per-voice effects, and 3D spatial audio.

Stream Pro is a separate instrument from the original Stream effect, turning your own audio into playable sounds.

Stream Pro by Delta Sound Labs is a granular synthesis virtual instrument that transforms audio samples into evolving pads, ambient textures, and playable polyphonic instruments. Designed for composers, producers, and sound designers working in cinematic scoring, ambient music, and electronic production, it combines independent time and pitch control, real-time sample scrubbing, per-voice effects, and 3D spatialization. Use your own recordings as the starting point for an atmospheric layer, a new keyboard instrument, or a moving soundscape.

Stream Pro Interface

Stream Pro: Granular Synthesis Plugin

Stream Pro is Delta Sound Labs' first virtual instrument. The team brings modular hardware concepts to modern software design, building on the foundation of its Stream effects plugin with deeper granular control, keyboard playability, and spatial audio features.

The result is a flexible tool for turning any sound into a dynamic instrument, ambient texture, or animated 3D sonic environment. Start with a recorded instrument, vocal phrase, or field recording, then explore its tone, timing, and movement through granular synthesis.

Two Ways to Work with Your Audio

Single Mode: Evolving Pads, Textures, and Atmospheres

Single Mode lets you turn any sound into evolving pads, textures, and atmospheres. Time and pitch are handled independently, with detailed control over grain behavior and real-time sample scrubbing.

Slow the movement through a recording without lowering its pitch, or explore different pitches while controlling how the texture develops. Scrubbing lets you focus on a particular moment in the source, making it useful for finding a sustained layer within a short recording or developing an atmospheric bed for a cue.

Multi Mode: Play Your Samples Across the Keyboard

Multi Mode makes your samples playable across the keyboard. With polyphonic grain engines, velocity sensitivity, and full MIDI tracking, you can build new instruments from any audio source.

Use it when you want to perform a melody or chord progression with the character of your own recordings. Rather than working only with a continuous texture, you can shape the result through the notes you play and how you play them.

Stream Pro Spatial Audio

Immersive Spatial Audio

Stream Pro introduces a 3D spatialization engine using Steam Audio's HRTF technology. In Multi Mode, each note becomes its own spatial object. Position sounds in the stereo field or use binaural processing for a sense of three-dimensional placement over headphones, then animate their movement with orbit, drift, or randomized motion paths.

The spatializer panel gives you direct control over position and movement. Combine spatial motion with an evolving texture, or give individual notes their own place in a granular performance.

Per-Voice Effects and Distortion

Each grain or voice can be shaped with its own effects chain, giving you control over the character of individual notes and the grains that form them.

  • Per-Voice Distortion: Give each note its own tonal character.
  • Grain-Level Processing: Apply distortion before grains are mixed together.
  • Analog-Style and Digital Distortion: Choose different approaches to shaping the sound.
  • Distortion with Spatial Motion: Combine changes in tone and position for detailed, moving textures.

From cinematic soundscapes to playable granular instruments, Stream Pro brings sample transformation, performance, effects, and spatial movement together in one instrument.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Stream Pro?

Stream Pro is a granular synthesis virtual instrument by Delta Sound Labs. It turns audio samples into evolving textures and playable polyphonic instruments, with per-voice effects and 3D spatial audio.

How does granular synthesis work?

Granular synthesis divides audio into small fragments called grains and recombines them into new sounds. In Stream Pro, control over grain behavior, sample position, time, and pitch lets you explore textures and instruments based on your source audio.

What is the difference between Single Mode and Multi Mode?

Single Mode is designed for evolving pads, textures, and atmospheres with independent time and pitch control. Multi Mode makes samples playable across the keyboard using polyphonic grain engines, velocity sensitivity, and MIDI tracking.

Can I change playback time without changing pitch?

Yes. Single Mode handles time and pitch independently, so you can change how the audio develops over time while controlling its pitch separately.

How does Stream Pro's 3D spatial audio work?

Stream Pro uses Steam Audio's HRTF technology for binaural spatialization. In Multi Mode, each note can occupy its own spatial position. The spatializer also lets you control movement, including orbit, drift, and randomized paths.

Can I process individual notes and grains?

Yes. Stream Pro includes per-voice effects and distortion, plus grain-level processing that applies distortion before the grains are mixed together.

Is there a discount for existing Stream owners?

Yes. Customers who have purchased Stream can use coupon code DELTA-LOYAL at checkout for $20 off Stream Pro.
