A Live First Look at a New Instrument from Audio Modeling, Presented on Sessionwire

Audio Modeling is known for physical modeled instruments that respond like playable instruments, not static samples. Their SWAM technology gives musicians real-time control over expression, phrasing, articulation, and performance detail, making it possible to shape a part as you play rather than edit it after the fact.

Now, Audio Modeling has something new to show.

Join ILIO and Audio Modeling for a live online session Presented by Sessionwire where Audio Modeling will publicly demonstrate its upcoming release for the first time. Special guests Randy Jenkins and Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning pianist, producer, and composer Emanuele Ruffinengo will play the new instrument live, discuss how it works in a real musical context, and invite the community to be part of what comes next.

About the Session

Latin Grammy Winner Emanuele Ruffinengo will introduce Audio Modeling’s upcoming release and play it live in its first public demonstration. As one of the musicians involved in shaping the instrument, he’ll show how it performs in real time and why this new direction matters for players, composers, and producers who already value expressive control.

Randy Jenkins, a longtime SWAM power user and accomplished musician and producer, will join the session to play the new instrument live and speak directly with Emanuele and the Audio Modeling team. The conversation will move between performance, musical decision-making, and what this release opens up for musicians who want software instruments to feel more immediate and responsive.

Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions and learn about special opportunities to join the Audio Modeling community around what comes next.

About Audio Modeling

Audio Modeling develops expressive virtual instruments built on physical modeling technology. Their SWAM instruments are designed to respond to real-time performance input, giving musicians detailed control over phrasing, dynamics, articulation, and tone.

Rather than relying on fixed recordings alone, Audio Modeling instruments model the behavior of acoustic instruments, allowing performers and composers to shape parts continuously as they play.
