The Synchron Solo Strings Bundle unites all four instruments of a world-class string quartet, performed by four distinguished musicians of the Vienna Synchron Orchestra. Marina Dimitrova (violin 1), Damir Oraščanin (violin 2), Anna Firsanova (viola), and Florian Eggner (cello) each bring their own musical personality, artistry, and instrument to the stage, creating a deeply expressive, emotionally rich and diverse collection. Captured in the grand acoustics of Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, these solo instruments shine in solo pieces, chamber ensembles, cinematic scores, or layered orchestral textures – giving you a complete, authentic string quartet whose voices inspire both individually and together alike.

The Standard Library versions of the VSL Synchron Series products feature an essential set of close mics plus the classic sound of a Decca tree stereo array. The Full Library versions include the same mic assortment plus additional room microphones for a wide variety of stereo and surround possibilities.

The Synchron Solo Violin, performed by Marina Dimitrova, was captured in the exceptional acoustics of Synchron Stage A. It offers emotional depth and technical precision, with a vast arsenal of authentic articulations—from spiccato, staccato, détaché, ricochet, saltando to legato, tremolo, trills, harmonics and more—all recorded for natural flow and expressive flexibility. Featuring 11 microphone positions and multiple stage placements (center, solo, 1st chair), it’s perfectly mixed with production‑ready presets and runs in the Synchron Player.

Synchron Solo Violin 2

Synchron Solo Violin 2, performed by Damir Oraščanin, presents a distinct tonal character and musical personality within the quartet. Recorded on Synchron Stage A with the same full assortment of expressive articulations as Violin 1, it includes 11 mic positions and stage configurations (center, solo, 2nd chair). Perfectly mixed production‑ready presets and the new Flow View interface in the Synchron Player make this instrument highly flexible for dialog, layering, or solo use.

Synchron Solo Viola

Synchron Solo Viola, played by Anna Firsanova, captures the warm, dusky tone and expressive soul of the viola. Recorded on Synchron Stage A with 11 microphone positions and several stage placement options (center, solo, 1st chair), it delivers a full palette of articulations—short, long, performance legato, dynamics, tremolo, trills, pizzicato, harmonics, spiccato, ricochet, saltando, sequences. All patches include perfectly mixed production‑ready presets and run in the Synchron Player.

Synchron Solo Cello

Synchron Solo Cello, performed by Florian Eggner of the Grammy-nominated Eggner Trio, delivers expressive depth and technical detail captured in Synchron Stage Vienna’s large hall. With a vast articulation set—spiccato, staccato, détaché, ricochet, saltando, legato (agile, slurred, lyrical), portamento, tremolo, trills, pizzicato, col legno, and more—it offers a wide dynamic and tonal range. Eleven microphone positions and advanced Synchron Player features, including a Crossfade Editor and Sequence Controller, provide nuanced control and seamless articulation blending.
