General FAQ

What kind of computer do I need?

Any recent Macintosh or Windows-based PC should be just fine. At this time, OSX 10.15 (Catalina) is not yet supported but support is coming soon!

Do I need other Plug-In Instruments or Effects to run Unify?

While Unify works amazingly well with all your plug-ins, you'll get enough included instruments to start making music immediately! This includes several presets to help you start making music with without ANY other plug-ins! If you do own other commercial plug-ins, you can use them to create your own combination patches in Unify.

Will ALL of my plug-ins work in Unify?

Though we are making strides to support everyone, not every plug-in is supported by Unify. If you experience trouble with Unify and your plug-ins, there is a troubleshooting guide that can help HERE.

Can I use Unify to load plug-ins my DAW won't support?

YES. Unify works as a bridge, allowing you to load plug-in types which your DAW itself may not support. You can use Unify to load VST/VST3 plug-ins in Logic Pro X and GarageBand, provided your VST/VST3's are built for Mac. You can't load plug-ins built for Windows into a Mac host, or vice versa. Unify PRO (coming later in 2020), will allow you to do this, across a network.

How many computers can I authorize with a single serial?

You can authorize up to three computers with Unify.

Will Unify work in my DAW?

The plug-in versions of Unify should work in any DAW that supports VST/VST3 (Mac and Windows) or Audio Unit (Mac only) plug-ins. Pro Tools is not supported at this time. If you are using FL Studio it is necisarry to turn "on", "use fixed-size buffers" for Unify.
