Naada Trumpet for GeoShred Studio
Rediscover what it means to truly play. Naada Trumpet places a physically modeled trumpet inside GeoShred Studio, where lip tension dynamics, breath articulation, mute timbres, and vibrato respond directly to pressure and gesture on the playing surface. The instrument is fully polyphonic, supporting brass chords and layered horn lines simultaneously.
Works with MPE controllers, wind and breath controllers, and GeoShred Control, a free iPhone and iPad companion app that delivers a multi-touch expressive surface for live performance.
GeoShred Studio Required. Running Naada Trumpet requires prior installation of GeoShred Studio.
Naada Trumpet – Physically Modeled Trumpet for GeoShred Studio
BRIGHT BRASS LEAD AND FULL CHORD VOICINGS FROM A SINGLE POLYPHONIC MODEL
Naada Trumpet runs inside GeoShred Studio, placing the trumpet's bright, direct voice on GeoShred's multi-row continuous pitch surface. The model spans the full dynamic range from pianissimo to fortissimo, with lip tension dynamics, breath articulation, mute timbres, and vibrato responding continuously to pressure and gesture. Slide across the grid for smooth glissandi and pitch inflections; press into the surface to push from a soft, veiled tone into full brass projection. Because the instrument is polyphonic, you can voice trumpet section chords, layer horn lines, or sustain a held note while playing a solo above it. GeoShred's integrated FX rack adds EchoMT, Reverb, and AmpCab processing directly in the signal chain.

What's Inside Naada Trumpet:
- GeoShred's continuous pitch surface with fretless glide, glissandi, and chromatic access across the trumpet's full range
- Polyphonic performance: voice brass section chords, layer horn lines, or sustain held notes under independent solo phrases
- Direct access to trumpet model parameters including lip tension, breath articulation, mute timbres, and vibrato
- Integrated FX rack with EchoMT, Reverb, and AmpCab available as part of the performance signal chain
- Full controller support: MPE controllers, wind and breath controllers, GeoShred Control companion app
- AccelMatrix Naada physical modeling engine generating each note as a continuous acoustic simulation
The Soprano Voice of Brass
The modern Bb trumpet is a cylindrical-bore brass instrument with three piston valves, a cup-shaped mouthpiece, and a flaring bell. The player produces pitches by buzzing the lips into the mouthpiece at different tensions while operating valves to change tube length. Its tone is bright, direct, and powerful, carrying over full orchestral and band textures with penetrating clarity. Trumpets in their most primitive forms appear in the archaeological record of ancient Egypt, Scandinavia, China, and the Aztec civilization; the valved chromatic trumpet emerged in 1818 and quickly became the soprano lead voice of the brass section. The model captures the full dynamic arc from a contained pianissimo to a blazing fortissimo.
GeoShred Studio and GeoShred Control
GeoShred Studio operates as a VST3, AU, or AUv3 plugin inside major DAWs, or as a standalone application. Its isomorphic surface is tuned in perfect fourths, providing a layout where melodic intervals repeat consistently across rows. Pressure and gesture are mapped continuously to instrument parameters, making the surface a direct conduit for expression rather than a series of on/off triggers.
GeoShred Control is a free companion app for iPhone and iPad that connects via USB, adding a second multi-touch expressive surface for live performance. MPE hardware controllers and wind or breath controllers connect directly to GeoShred Studio as well.

FAQ
What is Naada Trumpet?
Naada Trumpet is a physically modeled trumpet powered by the AccelMatrix Naada engine, running inside GeoShred Studio. It captures the trumpet's bright, direct tone, full dynamic range, and continuous control over lip tension, breath articulation, mute timbres, and vibrato.
What's the difference between GeoTrumpet and Naada Trumpet?
GeoTrumpet is a GeoSWAM instrument developed in collaboration with Audio Modeling, using their acclaimed SWAM physical modeling technology. It is monophonic and focuses on highly detailed solo trumpet performance with deep parameter control over embouchure, breath, and mute behavior.
Naada Trumpet is built on the AccelMatrix Naada physical modeling engine. It is polyphonic, allowing trumpet section chords, layered horn lines, and ensemble-style voicings that a monophonic model cannot produce.
Both run inside GeoShred Studio and share the same expressive performance surface and controller support. They are separate products with different modeling engines, different parameter sets, and different musical strengths. There is no upgrade or crossgrade path between the two.
What's the difference between GeoSWAM and Naada instruments?
GeoShred offers two families of physically modeled instruments: GeoSWAM and Naada. While both deliver deeply expressive performance through GeoShred's touch surface and MPE support, they come from different modeling technologies and are designed with different musical goals in mind.
GeoSWAM instruments are developed in collaboration with Audio Modeling and are closely related to their acclaimed SWAM instruments. These models focus primarily on Western orchestral and acoustic instruments such as brass, woodwinds, and strings. GeoSWAM instruments are designed for highly detailed expressive solo performance and operate as monophonic instruments, just like their real-world counterparts.
Naada instruments are developed by AccelMatrix and emphasize a broader palette of global instruments, including instruments such as Bansuri, Sitar, Veena, and many others alongside selected Western instruments. In contrast to GeoSWAM, Naada instruments are polyphonic, making them ideal for chords, layered textures, and rich ensemble-style performance.
In short:
GeoSWAM: monophonic, orchestral focus, highly detailed solo performance
Naada: polyphonic, broader global instrument palette, ideal for chords and layered textures.
Both instrument families share the same expressive GeoShred performance environment, giving players an intuitive and powerful way to perform physically modeled instruments.
Do GeoSWAM and Naada instruments use the same parameters?
No. Because the two families use different modeling technologies, each instrument includes its own parameter set tailored to its physical model. These parameters control aspects of the instrument's behavior and performance response.
What controllers work with Naada Trumpet?
Naada Trumpet works with MPE controllers, wind and breath controllers, the free GeoShred Control iOS companion app, and standard MIDI controllers.
Is Naada Trumpet polyphonic?
Yes. Unlike GeoSWAM instruments which are monophonic, all Naada instruments support polyphonic performance, allowing chords, layered textures, and ensemble-style playing.
