introduction
Welcome to SPECTRASONICS "Legends" series
of sample libraries. We created this series to offer samplists an
opportunity to work with the greatest musicians in the world, in
a totally new way. Of course, this isn't the first time someone
has created a sample library, so what's so different about Legends?
To begin with, Legends presents multiple world-class players with
their stylistic diversity, and unique approaches to the same instrument
- all on one disc.
Secondly, Legends CD-ROMs are the first sample libraries to offer
both intricately multi-sampled instruments and chromatically sampled
grooves and phrases that we call Chromazones(tm). The evolving "loop
culture" of the late 20th century has opened up a vast new
world of musical possibilities via sampling technology. Our Chromazones(tm)
extend this "phrase sampling" concept into a more original
and flexible tool to create your own grooves in any key signature
that will work in several tempos. If you're a purist that shudders
to even think of modifying someone else's bass line, you will still
find this collection to be the most comprehensive and musical sounding
Bass Instrument library on the market, since the players' instruments
were recorded with the finest in tube technology and sampled from
within a musical context.
Perhaps the most valuable feature of our libraries is that you can
use them on a commercial music release with the confidence that
you're not going to have legal problems because of the sounds. Our
products are 100% COPYRIGHT CLEAN. Every sound on this disc was
recorded specifically for this library and pre-cleared for your
musical use. None of the samples or phrases were taken from records,
music CD's, or other people's libraries. Thus, you avoid the licensing
hassles, fees and lawsuits that so many artists who utilize phrase
sampling in their music are experiencing today.
