Precision Monitoring in Real Musical Contexts
The partnership reflects a shared philosophy between the two companies: precision tools designed for serious professionals, honed in professional creative environments. At the ILIO booth, attendees will be able to hear Barefoot monitors in practical use with top-tier virtual instruments, mixing tools, and guitar and bass systems, offering an honest and musically relevant listening experience.
Barefoot Sound, known for its uncompromising approach to monitor design and translation, will be represented by an extensive lineup of its Footprint series, allowing visitors to compare models side by side and understand how each fits different studio needs. This marks the largest in-show presentation of Barefoot monitors to date.
Barefoot Sound monitors on demonstration include:
- Footprint 01: Designed for full-range accuracy and mix decisions that translate across systems.
- Footprint 02: A compact, high-output monitor built for smaller control rooms without compromise.
- Footprint 03: A versatile nearfield offering Barefoot’s core design principles in a streamlined form.
Built for Critical Listening and Critical Decision-Making
“When we had the opportunity to work with ILIO and their roster of high-profile, world-class brands, partnering at NAMM was an easy decision,” said Shevy Shovlin, CMO of Barefoot Sound.
At the ILIO booth, these monitors will be integrated into hands-on demo stations, allowing visitors to audition them using the latest top-tier instruments and processing tools from ILIO. Attendees can explore how Barefoot monitors respond to complex electronic and orchestral sound design, modern mixing workflows, and dynamic guitar and bass processing.
The ILIO booth will feature multiple walk-up demo stations, encouraging attendees to spend time with the tools rather than rushing through brief demonstrations. ILIO’s team will be available throughout the show to discuss home and professional studio applications, and how the partnership benefits working professionals and dealers alike.
“Barefoot monitors are built for critical listening and critical decision-making,” said Mark Hiskey of ILIO. “That aligns perfectly with how we approach the tools we represent. NAMM gives us the opportunity to put these monitors into real musical contexts and let people hear the difference for themselves.”
